Mario and Donkey Kong: Mini's on the Move now Available

Mario and Donkey Kong are at it again

Mario and Donkey Kong: Mini's on the Move is the latest installment in the Mario and Donkey Kong series and is now available on the 3ds E-Shop. The basic idea of this game is to use puzzle tiles( not pieces ) to create a path through each level and collect the star at the end. The game consists of over 180 levels stretching across four different puzzle modes.

There is also another really cool feature that allows players to build their own maps and puzzles and share them with players from around the world. There are also four other minigames that you can do between maing maps and playing the game. This new E-shop game looks very promising and fun( which I'm sure it is ). Comment bellow and tell me what you think of the game based on what you have just read.

Nintendo Won't be Holding a Large Scale E3 Presentation

Nintendo has recently announced that they will not be doing a public E3 press conference or E3 presentation. So what about all the people that were going to watch it online(like me)? Nintendo has said that they are,"investigating ways to deliver information about our games to our home audience around the time of E3." This move by nintendo might cause people to see it as a sign of weakness due to the fact that Sony and Microsoft are both doing e3 presentations for their latest gaming consoles.

Here's what Mr. Iwata has to say about this matter:

"At the E3 show this year, we are planning to host a few smaller events that are specifically focused on our software lineup for the U.S. market. There will be one closed event for American distributors, and we will hold another closed hands-on experience event, for mainly the Western gaming media. Also, I did not speak at last year’s presentation, and I am not planning to speak at these events at the E3 show this year either.
Apart from these exclusive events for visitors, we are continuing to investigate ways to deliver information about our games directly to our home audience around the time of E3. We will share more information about them once they have officially been decided.
During the E3 period, we will utilize our direct communication tools, such as Nintendo Direct, to deliver information to our Japanese audience, including those who are at this financial briefing, mainly focusing on the software that we are going to launch in Japan, and we will take the same approach outside Japan for the overseas fans as well."
How do you feel about this move by Nintendo? please leave a comment bellow by clicking where it says "no comment" at tell us what you think.

New Legend of Zelda coming soon for the 3ds

A Link to the Past

Nintendo has just recently announced that, they are doing a remake of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the 3ds. It will be from a 2d viewpoint like in the the original games. This new game will feature all new dungeons and an original storyline. It will also have a new feature that enables Link to become a drawing on a wall. This will allow Link to access places that were unreachable before. Of course, it will also have updated 3d graphics. As of right now, there is no release date, but I'm sure nintnedo will talk about it at E3 2013.

Mario Party 3d

Are you ready to Party?

In the most recent Nintendo Direct, Mr Iwata announced that a new Mario Party is coming to the 3ds. In this new Mario Party, there are seven new boards to play on, each with their own set of rules. As you play on these boards, the gameplay itself with change dynamically. The items in the game can be major game changers. They can hurt your opponents while they help you to move along the board.

Colors! 3D Update Coming Soon

Color Time!

Collecting Smiles has recently announced that there
will be an update coming to the very popular drawing game,
Colors 3d.

This new update comes with many new additions. Firstly, you'll be able to follow your favorite artists in the gallery which will enable you to view their paintings as soon as they are made. It is similar to the active feed on Miiverse. The gallery itself will also be upgraded. Thanks to the new customization tools, you'll be able to add a message and a profile pic. You'll also be able to search for specific paintings and there will also be a type of Twitter system to allow others to find your work more easily. There's going to be a filter mechanism implemented as well, which can be used to display content that has been painted without using a reference point.

This new update sounds pretty awesome. I hope it meets its expectations.

Real Heroes: Firefighter Sequel for the Wii U

Can You Take the Heat?

Scientifically Proven Entertainment just recently revealed that they are currently working on a sequel to the game Real Heroes: Firefighter.

This game puts  you in the shoes of a fireman attempting to douse the flames of burning buildings and rescue everyone inside. The founder, Nathaniel McClure said,"  The first person mechanics are the same as what you are used to, but the harrowing life and death experience in the face of a 1500 degree wall of fire or a collapsing city tower is something totally unique and new. The Wii U and its dual-screen ability on the GamePad make it a perfect fit. We think you will love it."

Sounds that they've got a lot cooking at SPE(Scientifically Proven Entertainment). This game looks very promising and I am excited to see how it will preform.

Flipnote Studios 3d

Who's up for some note flipping?

The very popular Nintendo Dsi app is getting a 3d makeover in the new app, Flipnote Studios 3d. This is both good and bad. Flipnote Studios 3d allows 3ds owners to draw animations with three different layers for a 3d effect, and export them to GIF or AVI. It will be released on the 3ds E-Shop this summer for free. It will also have the ability to upload your flipnotes to either a "Friendly Flipnote Gallery" service or a broader "World Flipnote Gallery" that connects you to a global community that you can share flipnotes on.

However, the worldwide gallery comes with a monthly fee to pay for the servers, and comes with a 30 day free trial. That fee may be removed however, if your flipnotes prove to be popular.

The bad news is......... Flipnote community support will on the Dsi will end May 31.

Pikmin 3

Pikmin 3

Pikmin 3 is a new installment into the Pikmin francise by Nintendo. It is a real time strategy game currently in development for the Wii U. It will be released sometime in the second quarter in 2013.

From what we know from E3 Pikmin 3 revolves around three new characters who come to the Planet of Pikmin for reasons that we do not know. None of these new characters seem to be related to Captain Olimar in any way however. This game is planned to be more like Pikmin 1.

Pikmin 3 expandes the gameplay of the previous Pikmin titles, in which players direct a big group of up to 100 plant-like creatures called Pikmin. These Pikmin can accomplish various tasks such as collecting food, biulding bridges, or taking down threats. The Pikmin themselves are very unique. Each type of Pikmin are a different color which signify their special abilities. While Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin return from the original Pikmin games, Pikmin 3 introduces two new Pikmin types. The first new type of Pikmin are Rock Pikmin. They can be used to smash through tough barriers. The second are Pink "Flying" Pikmin that were spotted in the start screen animation of the developer demo, the end of the E3 trailer, and at the end of the 12-5-12 Nintendo Direct as Pikmin sprouts. When someone asked Mr Miyamoto about the absence of the purple and white Pikmin types he said," They're in there somewhere, just hidden.......".

The player will control four Pikmin leaders at once. Pikmin 3 offers two control schemes, the Wii U Famepad or the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. In both cases, the Wii U gamepad gives the player an overhead map of the enviroment which is very helpful.

This game looks very promising and to many people, this game will be their favorite. I am excited to see how it will preform.

Mario Golf: World Tour

Mario Golf Hits the Greene this Summer

This is a new installment in the Mario Golf franchise by Nintendo. Right now I don't know much about this game, but I do have a little bit of information for you guys. The characters that Nintendo have released to us so far are Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Waluigi and Wario. However, I'm sure that Nintendo will add Peach and Dasiy into the group. The courses will be a combination of golf courses that you might find in the real world and golf courses that will be inspired by the world of Mario.

This is all I have on this game right now. I will add more information as it is released closer to launch.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

Ready for Luigi's next biggest adventure?

In just about a week Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon will be released to North America. To be more precise, it's official release date is March 24( for the US). It is a new sequel to the original Luigi's Mansion on the Gamecube. In this version Luigi's Mansion, Professor E. Gadd has been researching the ghost's in Evershade Valley, with some assistance from his friendly greenies ( green ghosts). All of a sudden, King Boo appears and shatters the Moonstone into six pieces, scattering them into each mansion. As a result, the once friendly ghost's become aggressive and mischievous.

So what does the Professor do? He calls on Luigi, of course, who at the time is at home sleeping with his TV still on. He wakes up when the Professor appears on his TV screen. He fills Luigi in on what has happened and eagerly asks him for his assistance.  Of course Luigi doesn't want to do it being the fraidy-cat that he is. However, Professor E. Gadd uses his Pixelator to teleport Luigi through the screen to his saferoom in Evershade Valley to search for the scattered pieces of the moonstone.

Unlike in the first game, this Luigi's Mansion has not one, but six mansions to explore (one of them is just for  multiplayer). The first is Gloomy Manor. This mansion is very similar to the mansion on the original Luigi's Mansion. The second is Haunted Towers which is a greenhouse mansion built around a tree. Next comes Old Clockworks. It is a clockwork mansion in a desert environment. The fourth is Secret Mine, a snowy built near an abandoned mine. The fifth mansion is the main hideout of King Boo. The final one is an exclusive one for multiplayer only. It's called the ScareScraper. I'll explain more about it in multiplayer.

You will encounter three main bosses and two sub bosses in this game. The main bosses include a gigantic spider that chases Luigi in Gloomy Manor, haunted stairs in Haunted Towers and, of course, King Boo. The two sub bosses are a ghost known as a Poltergiest, located in the Gloomy Manor. The other one is a female purple gardening ghost in Haunted Towers.

Now on to multiplayer. As I mentioned earlier, the Scarescraper is a special, multi-floored mansion that was made especially for multiplayer. It can be played using wi-fi, a local connection, or through download play. There are four modes that can be played on the Scarescraper. The first is hunter mode in which you and up to three other players try to catch all the ghosts on all the floors before time runs out. The second mode is Rush Mode. In this mode all you have to do is escape the Scarescraper before time runs out. The next mode is Polterpup Mode. In this mode players have to work together to capture a ghost known as a Polterpup on all the floors. The final mode is Surprise which randomly chooses one of the first three modes.

Just like in the last game, Luigi is equipped with the Poltergust 5000. However, this time around it has two new features that have been added to it. The first is called the Strobulb. Players charge it up and then release a powerful beam of light to stun the ghosts. The longer you charge it, the greater the range. However, some ghost's use objects to block the light like shovels, pot lids and sunglasses which will have to be removed using the Poltergust 5000 which was also in the first game. The second new feature is a Dark-Light which shines a rainbow colored light that can be used to find the path of Boos and invisible objects.

I have a very strong felling that this game is going to be one of the greats on the 3ds and I cannot wait to review it!
